About two weeks ago, I shared on my Instagram stories that I was getting a hydrafacial. Many of you had an interest in hearing more about it so today I am sharing my experience and honest review with you!
As many of you know ever since I got pregnant 2 years ago, I started struggling with dry skin, dry patches, and large pores. I started to try all different types of products and most of them were not much help. So, I started researching and looking for other options.
I decided to go to a dermatologist, because I am no expert at all when it comes to skin care, but I do want to be an expert with my own skin. In order to be my own expert, I need someone to guide me and teach me what will work best for me! My dermatologist was great and gave me all of the information I was looking for! So, if you have any skin concerns, I highly recommend that you see a skincare expert that will provide you with solutions for your specific skin type.
In my situation, in combination with other recommendations, she suggested that I try the hydrafacial! Now, you may be curious to know what the hydrafacial is, what it does, and what benefits it has. Keep reading for more details….
What is a Hydrafacial?
The hydrafacial is a medical grade facial treatment designed to cleanse, extract, and hydrate your skin using vortex technology in 3 simple steps. Your skin will in result be bright, hydrated, and plump in just 30 minutes!
Here’s a quick overview of the 3-step process:
- Cleanse & Peel: will uncover new layer of skin with exfoliation and resurfacing
- Extract & Hydrate: Remove debris from pores with painless suction. Nourish skin with intense moisturizers.
- Fuse & Protect: Infuse skin with antioxidants and peptides to maximize glow
This treatment is not painful at all and does not require any downtime. The only precautions or instructions you need to follow are to skip any type of exfoliation for 5 days following the hydrafacial. You will be amazed to see all the junk that is taken out of your face, see picture below for proof of mine!
My experience and results with the Hydrafacial
I first tried the hydrafacial treatment in February of this year and fell in love with the results. A couple months later and I started to feel my skin become more dry and dull so I decided to go get another hydrafacial 2 weeks ago.
It really did brighten up my face, unclogged my large pores to where they are no longer visible, and nourish my skin. Instantly after the treatment, my face feels so soft, clean and refreshed.
Also, a great benefit to the hydrafacial is that your skincare products will absorb so much better afterwards which will help these results stay longer. If you’d like to know what my skincare routine is like, you can read all about it here.
Another amazing thing about the hydrafacial is that it is not tailored to one specific skin concern or skin type. It is a good fit for anyone with any skincare need such as acne, skin texture, oily skin, brown spots, etc.
Below, I will share result pictures without any filters at all of days after the hydrafacial.
Immediate Before and After
Here you can definitely see the difference of how improved my skin is after the facial! On the right picture (after), you can see my face looks more hydrated and glowy overall. You will also notice that it is more red, this is common because of the manual extractions and exfoliation that occurs during the hydrafacial. Some of you will experience the redness and others won’t.
One Day After
Here, it was only one day after the hydrafacial and the redness has faded away completely. You can see that my skin looks very smooth, and bright with no signs of clogged pores!
Three days after
Three days after the hydrafacial , I forgot to take one without makeup. In this picture you can see the results of how my face looks with make up on. My makeup went on so smoothly and I have a natural glow going on! If you are a makeup lover, you will love the hydrafacial because of how nice and smooth your makeup applies afterwards!
If you made it this far, thank you for being a trooper! Make sure to follow my instagram stories for more details on my hydrafacial visit to the medspa! I hope that this little bit of information about the hydrafacial will really help some of you! The hydrafacial is definitely worth the money for all the benefits you get!
